Michaela is from Mantachie, Mississippi and moved to Searcy after she and her husband fell in love with the kindness of Central Arkansas during her time in Harding’s physical therapy program.
Michaela earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Clinical Dietetics and Nutrition from the University of Mississippi before earning a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Harding University. She chose her undergraduate degree due to the role nutrition plays in the therapeutic healing process and uses this knowledge of what our bodies need on the inside in conjunction with physical therapy interventions in order to provide the best care to her patients.
While completing her physical therapy degree, Michaela became interested in women’s and men’s pelvic health and began pursuing a pelvic health certification through Herman and Wallace. While she treats all orthopedic conditions, she is especially passionate about the pelvic health population as she feels it is an underserved area of medicine. Her hopes are to continue providing pelvic health services to Searcy and surrounding communities while decreasing the stigma around receiving treatment for uncomfortable pelvic topics. Additionally, Michaela is certified in LSVT-BIG and offers specialized treatment to patients with Parkinson’s disease.
Michaela and her husband have a daughter and two dogs who all enjoy hiking, traveling, and walking around Lowe’s planning home improvement jobs. She also enjoys wedding and lifestyle photography.
